When should I renew my domain?

Each domain extension has a specific timing for renewal depending on the competent Registrar. We suggest you to renew your domain before its expiry date to avoid the loss of the domain name and the payment of a penalty for its recovery.

Domains .IT
We suggest you to renew a domain .it before its expiry date. The domain will be still online 15 days after the expiry date but in Redemption Period status. 31 days after the expiry date the domain will be in PendingDelete status
The domain will be available for registration again afster 30 days + 5 from the expiry date.

Domains .COM, .ORG, NET and other generic extensions
Domains with .com, .org, .net and other generic extensions must be renewed before the expiry date or the day after they will be automatically suspended from the register. They can be renewed in 30 days with no penalty. After that period the domain will be in the PendingDelete status and a payment up to 299 € + VAT will be required for its recovery.
A domain with .com, .org, .net and other generic extension will be available for registration again after 60 days + 5 from the expiry date.

Domains .EU
Domains .eu must be renewed before the expiry date. A domain .eu can be renewed in 30 days after the expiry date with a penalty up to 29 € +VAT.

Domains .CH, Domains .ES and Domains .FR
Domains .ch, .fr and .es must be renewed 30 days before the real expiry date. As you enter your Keliweb Customer Area you will see, in the domain section, how the renewal for domains .ch, .fr and .es is set by default thirty days before the expiry date, to avoid any penalty for our customer.
