What is HTTP/2 protocol

The HTTP/2 protocol is the evolution of the HTTP protocol (HyperText Transfer Protocol) which has allowed the exchange of information on the web since the nineties.

The protocol is a communication channel between client and server: the first requires access to certain data and the second takes care of searching for them and returning them to the client.

The HTTP/2 protocol therefore serves to optimize the transfer of information between server and browser.

Using this protocol allows you to benefit from

  • lower latency
  • compression of HTTP headers
  • multiplexing of requests and responses to receive multiple objects in a single session
  • resource optimization
  • faster web page response
  • better performances and greater user satisfaction.

All Keliweb web hosting (already provided with an SSL Certificate) plans allow you to take advantage of the HTTP/2 protocol, ensuring greater speed and security for your website.
